The interesting thing to notice here is that even without the B&W effect, almost everything in the picture was Black or White already. Hmm, makes you think doesn't it? ;-)

Another shot of a mosque. This one is huge (so huge that I could not get it all in frame). You might be able to see this by looking at the kids playing in front of it. I included the car because it somehow matches and contrasts the mosque at the same time.

This is Dubai Golf Club's main building. Some how reminds me of the Sydney Opera House. Don't know why, but it does.

Another gloomy/rainy day. There was nothing to photograph on the ground so I took a picture of the sky. Looks really scary, like something from Independence Day.

It finally rained in the UAE! This was both good and bad. Good because it will get a good change in the weather (it was getting HOT in here). Bad because it ruined one whole day of photography. I had been planning on this for a long time but the rain had to come and spoil it all.

Anyways, this is what I think my best shot of the day. Most of the other ones were dull and colourless. This was taken just when the sun came out for a bit.

A day/dusk shot of the Buheira Corniche. But I think that in the night it looks many times better. Not to say that this shot isn't good. I really like the golden light effect.

Took this shot long time ago with my old camera, which is why I couldn't get the whole car in. Looking back at it, it doesn't seem that bad. The reflection of the building is the main thing I like about this picture.

Nothing special about this picture. I just like the way the bricks look and the road looks so shiny. Also the fact that this is straight out of the camera. No editing.

The tops of these buildings look like they have some straight out of a sci-fi movie! Probably some sort of beacons for an alien invasion :-)

Got the idea for this after watching the start of the movie "Crash". The big white blob is the moon and the rest are streetlamps/billboards etc.

Theres something I really like about this photo, but I don't know exactly what it is.

UPDATE: I finally found enough time to update the links on my page to the sites I visit regularly. Thanks to whoever linked to me!

I don't know whose idea it was to build his house at 1.2km above sea level, but thats gotta have one hell of a view!

This picture has been taken from the same mountain as yesterday, but this side is the one which overlooks the city of Al Ain.

If there is anything Sharjah can claim to be famous for, it can be for its magnificent mosques.

This stunning architecture is actually part of a shopping mall in Dubai called Ibn Battuta Mall (after the famous Arab traveler with the same name). This part of the mall has been recreated using actual designs from Persia. Probably the most ironic thing is, right in the middle of this is an outlet of Starbucks! You might not be able to read the Arabic, but it definetly says Starbucks Coffe.

Here is a picture of a Chinese shrine that I took on my trip to China..... errr, not really. This shrine is actually not real. Its part of the Dubai Shopping Festival's Global Village. Here you get pavilions of countries all around the world. The Chinese pavilion had this. The Indian pavilion has a replica of the Taj Mahal! Real or not real, it makes a good picture. If you want to know more about the Global Village check here

I know I have posted a picture similar to this one here but this one is colourful and technically doesn't count as a repeat!

I like this building's design, and the sky makes a nice background.

This used to be a lookout post (for invading armies, I guess) in old times, but now thanks to advanced radar systems its just a tourist attraction.
