Hey Ali! Thanks for swinging on thru my blog. drop by anytime!
i've done photography for years and love your site! you've got one helluva eye, and i really like some of your angles/sharp distinctive lines in your framing.
of course, i am a sucker for funny animal shots, and kimi down below a few posts made me damned near fall out of my chair... :)
My suggestion would mainly be that you take a few steps closer, and tilt your camera a bit to the left for more symmetry. I temporarly put up an example of that on my photoblog (hope you don't mind the usage of you photo). Please let me know what you think.
I didnt know about HDR photography but I sure like your photo :) The way the sun is situated on the top of the tower, and with all the clouds, gives me the impression that this is a big cannon (with holes:P) firing :)
Ali, did you use hdrshop or some other HDR program? I understand PS cs2 is supposed to have this capability, but I have not tried it. The dynamic range of digital photography is finally arriving and exceeding silver halide & paper. Good foray!

Even though I like the result I am not completely happy with it. I plan to retake this shot. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I like the way it has come out.. I would consider cropping the top right corner..
Looks pretty cool, how shots to make this? The sun might be a bit to bright?
What does HDR mean? [just wondering...]

Very interesting. I love the subject. Did you use a tripod? You may elaborate all that you wish because I will probably soon go down this same path.
strong hilight from the sun...look like something will come up from the tower:-P...nice perspective and composition:-)...cool shot!

I don't know what HDR is, but this is a cool shot. I like the clouds. The building has a great look, but feels like it needs to be better lit.
Impressive shot ! Very powerful !
Wow! It almost looks like an explosion coming out of the structure!
I'm wondering the same as K - what is HDR photography???
I like how the light is right above the tower!

HDR = High Dynamic Range
Nice attempt here Ali...I think it turned out well!
For some phenomenal HDR examples, check out the Ride My Pony site listed on blogroll. He's a Toronto photographer and his work is stunning!
all your pics is stunning

Ali, when was this tower built? It looks 13th-15th century. This is a very interesting piece indeed and leaves me wanting more information.
I don't know what HDR is, but this is awesome. Great old tower.
